  • Pastor Mike has been married to his wife Nancy for forty-five years. They have four adult daughters and ten grandchildren. He has an undergraduate degree from Howard Payne University and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been a pastor for over 39 years. Mike and Nancy both grew up in Bowie and have returned to their home town after being away for almost thirty years. They are excited about the opportunity to minister in the town in which they grew up.

  • Ken’s two greatest passions in ministry are leading a congregation to have deep, heartfelt and open expressions of worship, and teaching and training future generations to be church leaders. He and Carla have been married for over 37 years. Carla is the Assistant Principal at the Bowie ISD Intermediate School. They have one son, Caleb, who is currently a student at Southwestern Seminary. Caleb’s wife, Rachel, is a school teacher.

  • Mark Neese currently serves as the counselor at Bowie Elementary and loves assisting with the children’s ministry at FBC. He and his wife Tammy have been married since 1999, and have one son, Brock. Mark received his undergraduate degree from Ouachita Baptist University and his Masters in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. He loves encouraging children and families to discover the purpose God has for them and invites your kids to be a part of the   TeamKIDs program.

  • Pat joined FBC as Financial Secretary in 1995. She and her husband have been married for over thirty years. They have three sons and seven grandchildren. Pat loves her church family and has been a member for over 56 years.

  • Anna Dickson retired from public education after 28 years of service and joined the FBC staff in September 2011. She is responsible for general secretarial duties and the maintenance of records. Anna has one daughter and 2 grandchildren. She has been a member of FBC since 2004 and enjoys teaching Precept Bible study courses. 

  • daniel chavez - custodian

    Daniel has been a custodian for First Baptist Church since 1998. He graduated high school in Zacatecas, MX. Daniel has been married to Maria for over 29 years and they have three daughters: Melina, Lucy, and Brisa and 2 grandchildren. Daniel’s ministry opportunities include praise and worship with guitar and keyboard at a new, non-denominational, Spanish-speaking church in Bowie. Hobbies include gardening, music, fishing, and spending time with his family.

  • stephen deweber - custodian

    Stephen started as a custodian at FBC in September 2012. He has been married to Beverly for forty-three years. They have 2 adult sons, Clint and Michael. Stephen retired from the Post Office in Denton after thirty-eight years of service. His hobbies are working with wood and restoring old cars. He is enjoying his "second career" as a custodian because of the people he works with and providing a service to the church.
